For The Aerie, Sierra and Caleb's wedding was a day of many firsts. After months of renovation, The Cave was finally ready to be the backdrop of someones special day. Its seems fitting that the first couple to wedd there had such a memorably unique day.
Before the ceremony the bridal party had their pictures taken by the lovely Ava Maria Photography. The bridesmaids wore long floral dresses while the groomsmen kept it simple with grey slacks and suspenders. Sierra wore a beautiful off the shoulder gown while Caleb coordinated with his groomsmen. Their boutonniere and flowers were the perfect accessory to top everything off. All of their flowers came from Flora Fauna.
The enchanting ceremony took place close to mid day and was followed by a unique cocktail hour. As guests trickled to the upper level of The Cave they were met with food and beverage. The bar featured a variety of mimosas, among the flavors: lemon lavender, grapefruit, pineapple, and peach raspberry mango. During this time guests got to munch on mini fritattas, brie strawberry waffle skewers, and mini Greek yogurt parfaits.
The back drop for the mingling was relaxed and romantic. The picnic tables were covered in white linens and featured dusty rose napkins. Centerpieces included wooden rounds with greenery. To keep the ceremony area cohesive with the reception they had burlap runners on the tables. Everyone congratulated the newly married couple and it was finally time to take a seat.
Brunch followed shortly after. This consisted of Belgian waffles with a toppings bar, breakfast potatoes, and bacon and sausage. Afterwards their toast and speeches, and then their cake cutting took place. Sierra and Caleb cut into a small cake and then guests were free to help themselves to cupcakes. The baked goods were provided by Next Door Desserts.
While guests enjoyed their desserts, bride and groom shared their first dance. How suitable that while the couple shared a sweet moment the guests shared some sweet snacks. This was followed by a traditional father/daughter dance and a mother/son dance. The rest of the afternoon was spent dancing and celebrating the love of Sierra and Caleb.
